Clevelander South Beach Issues Important Notice for Customers

The Clevelander South Beach (2K Clevelander LLC, 1020 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, FL) has detected illegal and unauthorized access to our credit card processing system from March 2011 through October 2011. We have notified law enforcement and secured our systems. We take the integrity of our patrons’ personal information very seriously. We are committed to ensuring that our patrons have a positive experience with us and we are deeply impacted when that is not the case.

If you have been a patron of The Clevelander between March and October of 2011, and believe you may have been impacted, please immediately contact your bank or credit card institution. Credit card companies do not typically charge for unauthorized, fraudulent charges. Also, consider the following:

  • Remain vigilant over the next 12 to 24 months and regularly review your statements. If you notice any suspicious activity on your account, please notify your bank immediately.
  • In many cases, you can work with your bank or credit card institution to obtain identity theft assistance and/or to sign up for free alerts of irregular activity. Please check with them for more details.

Check on the integrity of your credit score by taking one or more of the following steps:

  • Obtain and check for accuracy an annual free copy of your credit report by visiting www.annualcreditreport.com.
  • Contact the major credit bureaus directly to issue fraud alerts on your accounts and to require your permission before opening accounts. More information is available at www.equifax.com, www.experian.com and www.transunion.com.
  • Contact the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) by calling the FTC's Identity Theft Hotline: 1-877-IDTHEFT (438-4338)
